I love this sequence of photos because it’s human. Ka’eo, 2, stopped and cried on several occasions throughout our half day session, and that’s completely ok. That’s life. Seeing the way his brother, his mom, and his dad took turns calming him throughout the day was lovely. That connection, that love, that support, is what makes this time memorable. And life continues. We don’t need to pretend that tears, regardless of what prompts them, don’t happen. These moments are beautiful because of the relationships that exist in them.
